Ipsos MORI Case Study

High Potential Programme - Leading At My Best

Ipsos.jpg

Ipsos MORI is a global leader in market research, attracting some of the most talented research professionals from around the world. Recognising the vital and influential role of managers, they wanted to find ways to support the development of their Associate Directors.

Ipsos MORI contacted Frontier for help in giving their teams the tools to unlock their full potential, and to become more purposeful, engaged and happier - all in service of improving effectiveness and productivity.

Frontier assisted Ipsos MORI in the development of their Future Leaders Programme and continue to be a valued partner, delivering leadership development with Frontier’s ‘Leading At My Best’ courses.

During these courses, people are encouraged to identify what it means for them to ‘be at their best’, improve their self-awareness and understand how to manage their impact on others.

So far Frontier has helped over 100 leaders at Ipsos MORI and has received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Graduates of the programme have reported improvements in relationships, self-confidence and are able to take on greater challenges.

Leading At My Best is unquestionably the best training I’ve ever had in my career to date, and these past two days have been particularly helpful in building on the coaching I’ve had previously and arming me with techniques and principles to use in the future. The feedback you gave me has really changed my perspective and helped give me a focus on specific aspects of my role and approach at Ipsos MORI. I’m feeling incredibly empowered, so thank you again.

The ‘Leading At My Best’ courses are led by the Frontier team and divided into three immersive and experiential modules:

1 - leading at my best.png
2 - getting the best from others.png
3 Driving Success.png

The first two modules take the form of two-day workshops, away from the office where participants are given the head space to fully engage.

The two-day workshops are balanced between learning about tools and strategies, and exercises to practice those tools and to learn about the self.

During each workshop, participants are offered opportunity to reflect upon their capabilities with honesty and integrity. Participants are able to acknowledge the skills they already perform competently and effectively, whilst also acknowledging any gaps they may have. Before each workshop ends, time is given for participants to reflect, and make personal commitments to take actions to improve their leadership.

A huge aspect of the workshops is to connect as a team, develop cohesion and build trust. In doing so, team members are empowered to support and encourage each other when they return to work, so that all participants deliver on their personal commitments.

The third off-site module is a one-day workshop focused on sustainability, where participants can check in on progress, recap on the tools previously covered, and celebrate their successes and accomplishments. The purpose is to ensure participants sustain their leadership shift, and continue to support each other.

We, at Frontier, firmly believe that the manner in which your colleagues behave and treat each other within your organisation, directly manifests itself in your ‘customer’s’ experiences. In order to give great service externally, you must have great relationships internally.
This means that the culture and values you desire need to be lived and role modeled internally every day. This is why we place the skill of being able to choose your attitude, regardless of what is going on around you, at the heart of what we do.

Ipsos MORI High Potential Programme

Leadership training: ‘Leading At My Best’ workshops as centre-piece of Ipsos MORI Future Leaders Programme.

Workshops are led by the core Frontier team and key associates for consistency of approach and scalability.

‘Leading At My Best’ comprises of 5 days of immersive development in total, divided into 2 two-day workshops held 3 months apart, and a one-day sustainability workshop 4 months later.

Workshops are co-facilitated with two Frontier leadership coaches and 14 participants from Ipsos MORI

Over 100 participants (5 cohorts) have been developed, in 4 regional centres from across the UK.

Workshops are purposefully aligned to Ipsos MORI’s values of: integrity, curiosity, collaboration, client first, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Our approach is designed to be experiential and immersive, involving group activities and individual time, all designed to help managers identify what they are going to do differently when back in their stores.
It is designed to encourage individuals to increase their self awareness, make some choices around how they set themselves up for success and fully consider their impact on others.
We give simple tools which help support the changes participants want to make.
